Jordin Sparks To Perform National Anthem Prior To Game One Of WNBA Finals, Sunday, October 8

LAS VEGAS (October 7, 2023)—The Las Vegas Aces announced today that Grammy® nominated, multi-platinum recording artist and critically acclaimed singer/songwriter Jordin Sparks is singing the National Anthem prior to Game One of the WNBA Finals between the top-seeded Aces and the No. 2 seed New York Liberty. Tip Sunday at Michelob ULTRA Arena is 12 pm PT, and the game is being broadcast on ABC.

The defending champion Aces won a WNBA-record 34 games during the regular season, and swept Chicago and Dallas to advance to the Finals for the 3rd time in 4 years. The Liberty (32-8) beat Washington and Connecticut en route to their first WNBA Finals appearance since 2002.

Sparks’ new track and accompanying music video are set to be released on October 13. The song was written by Sparks along with Dwayne Abernathy, Mathew Jarragin, Nicholas Stone, Matisse Pasillas and Cole Fredrick. “I loved the old school R&B vibe of this record,” said Sparks. “I’m so excited for my fans to hear it!”

“Call My Name’,” comes on the heels of Sparks #1 hit with, for KING + COUNTRY,“ titled, “Love Me Like I Am,” which just garnered a DOVE nomination. Her next album is produced by Dem Jointz, set for release in 2024.
