On August 28, 2018, the Las Vegas Aces won the 2019 WNBA Draft Lottery presented by State Farm, giving them the first overall pick in the draft for the third straight year—a WNBA first. It is also the fourth time that the franchise has had the number one overall pick in its 23-year history.
