LAS VEGAS (May 8, 2024)—Atlanta rapper and multi-GRAMMY Award winner Big Boi, a diamond selling artist, rapper, songwriter, record producer, actor and philanthropist, will perform at halftime of the Las Vegas Aces home opener on Tuesday, May 14. As with all national acts who perform at their home games, the Aces worked through Femme It Forward to book Big Boi for his halftime performance.

Tip against the Phoenix Mercury is at 7 pm, but fans are encouraged to arrive early, as prior to the game the Aces will receive their 2023 WNBA Championship rings and unveil their championship banner in Michelob ULTRA Arena.

Antwan André Patton, better known to Southern Hip-Hop and progressive Rap fans as Big Boi, featured as one half of the iconic Outkast duo. The first Outkast studio album “Southernplayalisticadillacmuzik” debuted at No. 20 on the U.S. Billboard 200 in 1994. In 2008, the Atlanta rapper released his first two solo singles, and his debut solo album in 2010, the latter of which reached as high as No. 3 in the USA on the Billboard 200, U.S. R&B/Hip-Hop and Rap charts.

Following a succession of high-profile album releases, Big Boi released “Boomiverse” in 2017. The smash single “All Night” sound tracked a high-profile Apple Animoji commercial, blew up radio, and clocked 40 million streams within a year. The song also hit the Top 30 on the pop chart and Top 10 at Rhythmic. In addition to his music career, the Hip-Hop legend recently starred in an unscripted Hulu series, Big RV Remix, a renovation-based series in which he and business partner, Janice Faison, renovate, redo and remodel trailers for small businesses of some of the world’s biggest celebrities.
