NEW YORK (August 1, 2019)—Las Vegas Head Coach Bill Laimbeer was named the WNBA’s Coach of the Month for July after leading the Aces to a 7-1 mark.
Las Vegas held opponents to 68.9 points per game and 35.9 percent shooting from the field over the eight game. Included in that stretch are three games in which the Aces held opponents below 30 percent shooting.
The Aces are 14-6 on the year, and tied for first place with the Connecticut Sun. Last season, Las Vegas was 8-12 through 20 games. That six game improvement is tops in the league.
