GAME RECAP: Aces Erase 12-Point Deficit In Comeback Win Over Mercury

LAS VEGAS (May 17, 2022)—The Las Vegas Aces trailed by as many as 12 points in the first half, but they stormed back in the third quarter outscoring Phoenix 39-12 to pick up an, 86-74, victory over the Mercury.

First Quarter (Phoenix 29, Las Vegas 21)

The game was tied at 9 with 3:23 gone in the period, but the Mercury scored 15 of the next 18 points to go up by 12, 24-12. The Aces committed 5 turnovers in the period which the Mercury turned into 11 points. While Phoenix recorded jut one miscue which the Aces flipped into 3 points.

Second Quarter (Phoenix 43, Las Vegas 39)

The Aces used a 6-0 to slice the Mercury lead to 4 midway through the quarter.

Third Quarter (Las Vegas 69, Phoenix 55)

Las Vegas Scored the final four points of the second quarter, and the first 6 in the third to take their first lead of the game. They outscored the Mercury 30-12 in the period to lead by 14 heading into the fourth.

Fourth Quarter (Las Vegas 86, Phoenix 74)

The Aces expanded their lead to as many as 19 in the period..
