GAME PREVIEW: Aces Look To Remain Unbeaten On Road vs. Fever

INDIANAPOLIS, IN (June 3, 2023)—The Las Vegas Aces are the only undefeated team remaining in the WNBA, and they put their prefect 5-0 record on the line Sunday against the Indiana Fever. Tip at Gainbridge Fieldhouse is slated for 1 pm PT on the Silver State Sports & Entertainment Network.

Game Notes

The Aces kept their unblemished record intact, Friday evening, as they held off a furious comeback by the Atlanta Dream. Las Vegas led by as many as 19 on the night, but the Dream sliced the lead to two with less than a minute remaining. A Chelsea Gray stepback jumper and a Kiah Stokes blocked shots helped seal the victory.

Las Vegas boasts both the most efficient offense and the most efficient defense in the league early in the year, led by a quartet of double-digit scorers—Jackie Young (22.4), Aja Wilson (19.4), Kesley Plum (15.4) and Chelsea Gray (13.0). Young was named Associated Press WNBA Player of the Week last week.

Although there are some familiar faces on the Indiana Fever in the form of Kelsey Mitchell (16.0 ppg), and NaLyssa Smith (15.8), the talk of the team has been the play of 2023 overall number one draft pick Aliyah Boston. The South Carolina graduate is averaging 14.8 points and 12.0 rebounds on the young season.

Las Vegas has had Indiana’s number of late, winning 8 straight and 16 of the last 17 meetings between the teams.
