WHAT OTHERS ARE SAYING
“Clouden’s offensive repertoire is defined by impressive footwork, a Kahleah Copper-esque lethal first step on drives through the lane, a fluid mid-range pull-up jump shot and an ability to create scoring opportunities without much space. [She] could be the steal of the draft. Although her 5’8″ height is a slight concern, she’s taller than former Storm guard Jordin Canada and is more skilled offensively. At Michigan State, Clouden has established herself as a dynamic scorer who can also see the floor and make plays. One talent evaluator described her game as shifty, capable of shot creation and trusty ball-handling.”
~ Jackie Powell, Bleacher Report
“I say this all the time about her — it’s consistency. I think great players are consistent and that’s the one thing I think Nia has been. Regardless of what people are doing to her and if they are zoning or trapping or triangle and two or whatever they are going to try to do to take her out, I think she’s found a way to be effective.
“It is so hard for a kid to be consistent and be relied on night in and night out. That’s a tough thing. To be able to do that and do it when people are adjusting their defense to take you out says a lot about her skill-set, too, and how much she’s improved to score multiple ways. She’s a three-level scorer. She can definitely shoot the mid-range, she can hit the 3 and she can get to the rim and get herself to the line.”
