SAN ANTONIO (December 14, 2021)—Four-time All-WNBA honoree, and three-time WNBA All-Star Sophia Young-Malcolm, was named to the San Antonio Sports Hall of Fame Monday.

The nine-year WNBA veteran, who is still the Aces’ franchise leader in points, rebounds and steals, played her entire professional career in the United States in San Antonio from 2006-15. She led the Silver Stars to the 2008 WNBA Finals, and six other trips to the postseason.

Prior to being drafted in 2006, Young-Malcolm led Baylor, located in Waco, Texas, to the 2005 NCAA Championship.

Previous San Antonio Sports Hall of Fame honorees with connections to the Aces include Becky Hammon, who played with San Antonio from 2007-14, and Clarissa Davis-Wrightsil, who ran the campaign to bring the Silver Stars to San Antonio, and later served as the team’s Chief Operating Officer from 2002-06.
