Las Vegas Aces Sign Two-Time WNBA Champion Jackie Young to a Contract Extension

Las Vegas (May 4, 2024)—Las Vegas Aces General Manager Natalie Williams announced today that the team has signed two-time WNBA Champion Jackie Young to a contract extension.

“Jackie Young is a force to be reckoned with in the WNBA and one of the most dynamic shooting guards in the world,” said Williams. “Signing Jackie to an extension through 2025 was absolutely a priority for us. Watching Jackie’s growth, I believe she could be vying for that MVP title this season.”

The Aces No. 1 Draft pick in 2019, Young is in her fourth year in the league. She earned the 2022 WNBA Most Improved Player Award and was named to the 2023 All-WNBA Second Team.

Over her five-year career in an Aces uniform, Young claimed a pair of WNBA Championships and was named an All-Star in each of the past two seasons. Starting 140 of 162 games, Young has averaged 13.0 points, 4.0 rebounds and 3.7 assists per game, while shooting 47.5% from the field, 41.2% from afar and 84.8% from the line.

The Aces, who will play a preseason game against Puerto Rico on May 11 in South Carolina, tip-off their season against Phoenix at 7 pm on May 14 at Michelob ULTRA Arena. Fans are encouraged to arrive early, as prior to the game the Aces will receive their 2023 WNBA Championship rings and unveil their championship banner in Michelob ULTRA Arena.
