ACES SCOUTING REPORT

“A tough-nosed competitor with a high basketball IQ. She is an excellent shooter with deep three-point range, and her size and physicality make her a threat down low for smaller guards.”

WHAT OTHERS ARE SAYING

“One WNBA talent evaluator said Katie Douglas is the ceiling, and I can see it. At the risk of throwing an NBA comp in here, though, I’d submit that Cunningham looks to me like she can be the Ryan Arciadiacono of the WNBA, which is to say, someone capable of playing anywhere 1-3, guarding mostly wings, facilitating offense as necessary, hitting threes and providing max effort every single moment. The Bulls found out that this is quite valuable, and he’s been a key part of a largely lost season, and has worked his way into their future. I strongly suspect whoever drafts Cunningham will find she does the same thing.”

“What we saw at this young age was, ‘Man, look at this kid compete. She’s freaky tough.’ It wasn’t like, ‘Wow, she’s the fastest,’ or, ‘Wow, she jumps the highest,’ it was just that she competed the hardest, and was the ultimate teammate. She has never shied away from that, even from day one.”
