LAS VEGAS (April 13, 2026) – Las Vegas Aces president and GM Nikki Fargas announced today that the team has signed 2024 Olympic bronze medalist Stephanie Talbot as a free agent.

“Steph is a versatile wing who can guard multiple positions while shooting from beyond the arc at an elite level,” Fargas said. “She has had a stellar career in the WNBA, in Australia’s WNBL and as an Olympian, and will add depth to our Aces roster.”

Talbot enters her eighth season in the WNBA after playing in Phoenix, Minnesota, Seattle, Los Angeles, Golden State and New York, boasting career averages of 4.3 ppg, 2.6 rpg and 1.6 apg while shooting 42.3% from the floor and 35.1% from distance.

The 6-2 forward began her WNBA career in 2017 after being drafted to the Mercury as the No. 33 pick in the 2014 WNBA Draft. Talbot saw the floor for the first time in 2017 after playing in the WNBL from 2014-15 and spending 2016 preparing for the Olympics with the Australia National Team, the Opals.

She competed in Phoenix for two seasons and played for the Lynx in 2019. After opting out of the 2020 season, which was played in the ‘Wubble,’ Talbot spent the next two years in Seattle.

In 2021 with the Storm, not only did she help Seattle capture the first Commissioner’s Cup championship, but Talbot recorded career-bests of 5.7 ppg and 48.3% shooting from the field, and finished in the league’s top 10 in 3-point percentage (.415). She also was the only player that season with at least 65 3-point attempts while shooting over 48% from the floor and over 41% from distance.

After signing with the Sparks in February 2023, Talbot tore her ACL while playing for the WNBL Adelaide Lightning and was sidelined that season. She returned to the WNBA and spent 2024 in Los Angeles before being selected by the Valkyries in the 2025 WNBA Expansion Draft. Talbot was waived on July 13 and signed a rest-of-season contract with the Liberty on July 21.

The Australia native is a 2024 Paris Olympic bronze medalist, 2018 FIBA World Cup silver medalist, 2022 FIBA World Cup bronze medalist and most recently helped the Opals to a 5-0 finish at the 2026 FIBA World Cup Qualifying Tournament in Türkiye. Talbot played for Australia junior teams from 2009-2013 before being called up to the national team for the 2015 FIBA Oceania Championship, and has been a mainstay on the Opals roster ever since. In all, Talbot has played in three Olympics, two FIBA World Cups, several world qualifying tournaments and zone championships and earned the bronze medal at the 2013 FIBA U19 World Cup.

This past offseason, Talbot suited up for WNBL’s Adelaide Lighting, a team she has played for since 2019, and averaged 15.3 ppg, 7.1 rpg, 4.5 apg and 2.0 spg. The 2020 WNBL MVP is a two-time All-WNBL first team (2020, 2022) selection and was the 2013 WNBL Rookie of the Year.

In addition to more than a decade playing in the WNBL, Talbot’s international experience includes stints in France and Poland.
