OLYMPICS GAME RECAP: JiSu Park’s Posts 8-Point, 11-Rebound, 5-Assist Effort In, 65-61, Loss To Serbia

Tokyo, Japan (August 1, 2021)—JiSu Park scored 8 points, grabbed 11 rebounds and handed out 5 assists Sunday, but South Korea fell to Serbia, 65-61, to finish 0-3 in pool play at the 2021 Olympic Games.

Serbia scored 9 of the first 10 points of the game and led for almost the entire way. South Korea put together a run midway through the third quarter tying the scored at 40 and 42, but a 9-2 run put Serbia back on top.

It was still a five-point Serbia lead, 56-51, with 6:56 to go in the game, when South Korea netted seven straight points to take their first lead, 58-56.

Two possessions later, Ji Hyun Park gave South Korea a three-point advantage with 4:07 on the clock, 61-58. Those were the last points the team would score, however, as South Korea missed 6 straight shots and committed one turnover over the final four minutes of action.
