GAME PREVIEW: Las Vegas Takes On Connecticut As Aces Look To Get Back On Winning Track

LAS  VEGAS (June 2, 2019)—The Las Vegas Aces return home Sunday to take on the Connecticut Sun beginning at 3 pm PT at Mandalay  Bay Events Center.

Las Vegas is coming off of a two-point loss on the road at Phoenix that saw the team battle back from an early nine-point deficit, only to surrender a 12-point lead of its own before falling just short in its comeback attempt.

The Aces’ bench provided the spark against the Mercury, scoring 38 points, and making 13 of 21 shots from the field. Las Vegas’ starters made 17 of 55 shots on the night.

Connecticut fell from the ranks of the unbeaten Friday evening, dropping a  77-70 decision at Los Angeles. The Sun were held to 30.8 percent shooting from the field, including 26.1 percent from long range.

Jonquel Jones leads four players in double-figure scoring for Connecticut at 17 points per game, and is averaging a WNBA-best 14.7 rebounds per game.

Las Vegas snapped a 10-game losing streak to the Sun last season, although Connecticut took the season series two-games-to-one.
