Las Vegas Announces Telecast Agreement With AT&T SportsNet

LAS VEGAS, NV (June 1, 2018)—The Las Vegas Aces announced today a broadcast agreement with AT&T SportsNet to televise 15 of the team’s 17 home games during the Aces’ inaugural 2018 campaign.

The broadcast schedule begins with the team’s second home game at Mandalay Bay Events Center, Friday, June 1 against the Washington Mystics at 7:30 pm PT.

“Our goal in selecting a television broadcast distributor was to bring the excitement of WNBA basketball to as many of our fans as possible,” explained Lance Evans, corporate vice president of marketing-entertainment & sports for MGM Resorts International.

“Not only do AT&T SportsNet and their Rocky Mountain Region network extend throughout Nevada, Utah, Colorado, Wyoming, and parts of Southern California and Northern Arizona, but they are also the home of the Vegas Golden Knights, the Utah Jazz, the Colorado Rockies and other major sports properties. We couldn’t have asked for a better broadcast relationship as we begin our inaugural season.”

In addition to unveiling the team’s broadcast relationship with AT&T SportsNet, the Aces announced the primary three-person broadcast team for the 2018 season, which features Anne Marie Anderson handling play-by-play duties, WNBA veteran and Aces manager of player programs and franchise development Rushia Brown providing color commentary, and Amanda Pflugrad serving as the team’s sideline reporter. Katy Winge will also join the broadcast team throughout the 2018 season.

Anderson has most recently handled a variety of play-by-play duties for women’s college sports on the Pac-12 Network, including volleyball, soccer, basketball and softball. She has also spent time as an analyst for Fox Sports Net, CBS College TV, The Mtn., and ESPN.

Brown was a member of the Cleveland Rockers inaugural WNBA team, and spent seven years in the league—six with the Rockers, and one with the Charlotte Sting. Her post-playing career has been dedicated to assisting young women in their athletics and academic pursuits by exposing them to the tools they need to be successful both on and off the court.

Pflugrad currently serves as the reporter/host for the NBA’s Boston Celtics, conducting pre and postgame interviews with players and coaches, delivering live game recaps and analysis, as well as providing daily updates from practice. She has also worked as a sideline reporter and analyst for ESPN and the SEC Network, the Pac-12 Network, the New York Jets and Fox Sports Arizona.

Winge works as the Denver Nuggets in-arena reporter, as well as an associate producer and digital contributor for Kroenke Sports & Entertainment. She also spent time as an analyst for the Big Ten Network after recently graduating from Northwestern University with a master’s degree in sports journalism.
