Aces guard Jackie Young recorded USA 13 points, 6 assists and 3 steals in a 95-59 USA Basketball National Team exhibition victory over the University of Tennessee on Nov. 5 in Knoxville. In a balanced effort, all 10 USA players scored between 6-14 points. Fifth-year Tennessee forward Rickea Jackson scored a game-best 15 points.
The collegians scored first, but a Diana Taurasi 3-pointer put the USA up for good, 10-7, early in the first quarter. The U.S. outscored UT 23-15 in the first quarter and led 52-31 at halftime.
Kelsey Plum will join Young and the USA National Team as it continues its fall training in Atlanta Nov. 7-9, before concluding with an exhibition against Duke University in Raleigh, North Carolina, on Nov. 12. Both Plum and Young are scheduled to play against Duke.
