GAME RECAP: Aces Top Century Mark For Fourth Time This Season In, 103-76, Win Over Visiting New York

LAS VEGAS (June 17, 2021)—The Las Vegas Aces passed the century mark for the fourth time this season, improving to 10-3 on the year with a 103-76 victory over the visiting New York Liberty (6-6)

First Quarter (Las Vegas 22, New York 15)

The Liberty led by 4, 15-11 with 3:32 to go, but the Aces scored 11 straight to close out the quarter. Chelsea Gray had a hand in 6 of the Aces 8 made field goals, draining 3 for 8 points and assisting on 3 others.

Second Quarter (Las Vegas 55, New York 34)

Las Vegas went on a 17-4 run midway through the period turning a five-point lead into an 18-point advantage. Riquna Williams scored the first 11 points in the run with three three-pointers and a driving layup.

Third Quarter (Las Vegas 80, New York 57)

The Liberty got as close as 15 in the quarter, but a 14-2 Aces run pushed the lead back out to 27. A’ja Wilson scored 10 points in the quarter, and Las Vegas was a perfect 10 for 10 from the free throw line.

Fourth Quarter (Las Vegas 103, New York 76)

The Aces’ lead vacillated between 22 and 27 throughout the entire quarter. The Las Vegas’ bench scored all of the team’s 23 points in the quarter, while the starters logged just 2:04 of playing time in the period.
