Las Vegas had its 8-game winning streak snapped Sunday in New York as the Liberty held the Aces to a season-low 61 points and 32.9 percent shooting from the field. That dropped Las Vegas’ record to 24-3 on the year, and moved New York (22-6) to within two-and-a-half games of the front-running Aces.

Las Vegas continues to pace the WNBA in most major offensive categories including Offensive Efficiency Rating (113.5), points per game (93.2), field goal percentage (.497), 2-point field goal percentage (.559), 3-point field goal percentage (.381), and turnover percentage (.147).

A’ja Wilson (20.3), Kelsey Plum (19.2) and Jackie Young (18.7) are vying to become the first trio of teammates to each average more than 19 points in the same season. No WNBA team has had three players average more than 18 points in the same year.

Young (.543—6th), Wilson (.534—7th), Chelsea Gray (.503—11th) and Plum (.494—14th) are also ranked in the top 15 in the league in field goal percentage, while Young (.471—1st), Gray (.442—2nd), Alysha Clark (.429—7th) and Plum (.379—19th)  are among the top 20 in 3-point field goal percentage.

The Dallas Wings have dropped 2 straight games, and are tied with the Atlanta Dream for 4th place. Washington (13-14), Minnesota (12-15) and Chicago (12-15) are all within two-and-a-half games of Dallas in the standings.

The Wings have the 3rd most efficient offense in the WNBA (105.1 OER), and rank 7th in the league in defensive efficiency (101.6). They are the best offensive (.364) and defensive rebounding (.749) team in the W, and are 3rd in the W in turnover percentage (.165).

Despite boasting three of the top scorers in the league in Arike Ogunbowale (21.4 ppg), Satou Sabally (17.7) and Natasha Howard (17.3), Dallas is in the bottom half of the WNBA in field goal percentage (.435—7th) and 3-point field goal percentage (.302—12th). They are helped out by lapping the league in second chance points, average 15.0 per game.

The Aces have won 2 of the previous 3 meetings between the teams, including the most recent match up—a 104-91 victory at Michelob ULTRA Arena on July 30. Plum (28 points), Chelsea Gray (27) and Wilson (22) each poured in 20 or more points for Las Vegas, while Teaira McCowan paced the Wings with 25 points.
