LAS VEGAS (July 12, 2026) – Cold second-half shooting and poor perimeter defense plagued the Las Vegas Aces (17-7), who fell to the visiting Indiana Fever (14-9) 109-75 on Sunday evening in Michelob ULTRA Arena. Playing in their third game in four days, A’ja Wilson put up a double-double of 20 points and 12 rebounds to go with 2 assists, 2 blocked shots and 1 steal; and Jackie Young finished with 15 as the only other Aces player in double figures. Chelsea Gray, who had 6 assists, and NaLyssa Smith, 5 rebounds, chipped in 9 points apiece.

Kelsey Mitchell’s game-high 27 points led six Indiana double-digit scorers.

1st Quarter Highlights (Indiana 31, Las Vegas 22)
Indiana took a 5-0 lead to start the game and never trailed. After the Aces tied it up at 10-all, the Fever hit a trio of 3s in a 15-6 run to pull ahead 25-16 and held a 9-point lead at the quarter break. The Aces hit 50% of their shots from the field but were just 1 of 4 behind the arc, while the Fever shot 64.7% overall and 5 of 7 from deep. Gray led the Aces with 7 points and 3 assists and Mitchell scored a high of 9.

2nd Quarter Highlights (Indiana 59, Las Vegas 48)
The Aces made several stabs to cut into the Fever’s lead, but could not get closer than 7 and trailed 43-36 midway through the period. Indiana strung together an 8-2 run for a 51-38 advantage with less than 4 minutes remaining in the half and maintained a double-digit lead until a pair of Jewell Loyd free throws brought the score to 56-48. But Indiana netted a 3 with 6.2 seconds on the clock to go back up by double figures at the half. Las Vegas made 7 of 13 (.538) from the floor but missed all 3 3-point attempts; Indiana hit 11 of 20 (.550) overall and 2 of 6 from deep. The Aces made all 12 attempts at the charity stripe, and the Fever made all 4 of theirs. Wilson and Young scored 8 apiece; Aliyah Boston and Mitchell had 10 and 11, respectively, on the other end.

3rd Quarter Highlights (Indiana 80, Las Vegas 64)
The Aces scored the first 7 out of the locker room and were still within 4 points, 66-62, with 3 and a half minutes left in the quarter. However, Indiana forced the Aces into 1 turnover and 4 missed shots, while netting 5 of 7, which included 3 3s, in a 14-2 run that left the Aces trailing by 16 with 10 minutes to play. The Aces made just 6 of 21 (.286) from the field and 2 of 6 from distance; Indy went 7 of 15 (.467) overall and made 3 of 9 behind the arc. Young topped all scorers with 7 points and Sophie Cunningham led Indy with 6.

4th Quarter Highlights (Indiana 109, Las Vegas 75)
Three quick Indiana buckets to start the final frame expanded the lead to 20 and the Aces were unable to recover. Indiana hit 9 of 16 (.562) from the field and 5 of 9 (.556) from 3 and held Las Vegas to a chilly 4 of 15 (.267) overall and 1 of 4 behind the arc. Cunningham tossed in 3 3s for 9 points and Dana Evans, playing in her first game this year after returning from injury, scored 5.

GAME NOTES

Tonight marked Wilson’s 132nd career double-double, which ranks No. 5 among all-time WNBA players; and her 102nd 20-point double-double, which ranks No. 2 behind Tina Charles’ 110.

Wilson, who started the season No. 21 among league scoring leaders, passed Lisa Leslie (6,263) to move into No. 14. She now has 6,281 points. Next up is No. 13 Sylvia Fowles, who has 6,415 career points.

Wilson has now scored in double figures in a league-leading 46 consecutive games

Gray has not missed a free throw since hitting 2 of 3 from the line against Golden State on June 21 — her last miss came with 57.4 seconds left in the 3rd quarter on the front end of 2 attempts, and she’s made 22 straight since.

Young has been perfect at the charity stripe since she was fouled attempting a 3-pointer and missed the last attempt on 3 of 3 from the line at Phoenix on June 17 at 5:58 in the first quarter. She has been perfect on her ensuing 28 attempts.
