Gallery: Aces Participate in UNLV’s National Girls & Women in Sports Day Clinic and UNLV Lady Rebel Game Halftime Recognition (1/31/26)
Hosted by UNLV, the Las Vegas Aces participated in a free, all-sports clinic for young athletes at UNLV’s Mendenhall Center. The clinic celebrated National Girls & Women in Sports Day, which was first recognized by the U.S. Congress in 1987 and is held annually in the first week of February. National Girls & Women in Sports Day is an annual celebration that acknowledges and celebrates the achievements of women athletes, coaches, leaders and the power of women in sports. This year’s official NGWSD is Feb. 4.
Following the event, the Aces were recognized at halftime of the UNLV Lady Rebels contest against Colorado State at The Pavilion.
Aces assistant coaches Larry Lewis and Charlene Thomas-Swinson and members of the front office staff were in attendance to help with the clinic and during the Aces championship recognition at the game.
