Follow Jackie Young And USA Basketball At The World Beach Games Beginning October 13

DOHA, QATAR (October 12, 2019)—Las Vegas Aces guard Jackie Young dons a USA Basketball jersey for the first time beginning Sunday, October 13 as she and the rest of the U.S. 3×3 Women’s Basketball Team compete in the 2019 World Beach Games.

The USA women play two games on October 13 (5:25 am PT vs. Dominican Republic, and 8:45 am vs. Jordan), before taking on Russia at 5 am on October 15. The quarterfinals are scheduled for the morning of October 16, as are the semifinals, and bronze and gold medal games. Fans may follow along by visiting the official site of the World Beach Games.

The Olympic Channel is also slated to air portions of the Games.

Some key rules to note:

  • The game is played on a half court with one basket and regular basketball court markings, including a 19-foot free throw line, a 22-foot two-point line (yes, a two-point line), and a “no-charge semi-circle”
  • Successful shots made inside the arc are worth one point. Shots made behind the arc are worth two points. Free throws are worth one point.
  • Games consists of one 10-minute long period.
  • First team to 21 or more wins if it happens during regulation.
