A’ja Wilson Named WNBA Western Conference Player of the Week

Bradenton, FL (September 14, 2020)—The WNBA announced today that leading MVP candidate A’ja Wilson was named the Western Conference Player of the Week today for games played from September 7-13.

The two-time All-Star led the Aces to a 4-0 week, with three of those victories coming over the final four days of the regular season. The last win, over Seattle, earned Las Vegas the top seed in the WNBA Playoffs which begin tomorrow.

The third-year-pro averaged 21.0 points, 9.0 rebounds, 3.00 blocked shots, and 1.75 steals per game, in winning her second Player of the Week honor of the season. Wilson was also named the Western Conference Player of the Month in August.
