A’ja Wilson Named Western Conference Player of the Month

Bradenton, FL (September 1, 2020)—The WNBA announced today that Las Vegas Aces forward A’ja Wilson is the Western Conference Player of the Month for the month of August.

The two-time All-Star averaged 20.3 points, 8.3 rebounds and 2.17 blocks while leading the Aces to a WNBA-best 11-1 record. She recorded eight games of 20 or more points including a season-high 31 at New York on August 9.

This is Wilson’s first Player of the Month award, and the first in franchise history.

For the season, Wilson is ranked second in the league in scoring (20.3), sixth in rebounding (8.7) and third in blocks (1.73), and the Aces have the second best record in the league at 12-3. She has scored in double figures in 23 straight games dating back to last season which is the second longest acative streak in the WNBA.
