LAS VEGAS (July 1, 2021)—The WNBA announced today that Aces’ forward and reigning league M’VP A’ja Wilson is the Kia WNBA Western Conference Player of the Month for the month of June.
The fourth-year pro led the Aces to the best record in the league and the top spot in the WNBA standings by averaging 21.0 points and 10.3 rebounds per game. She ran her streak of consecutive games scoring in double figures to 46. The South Carolina graduate scored 20 or more points four times in June, including a season-high 30 at New York on June 3. She also recorded six double-doubles.
For the year, Wilson is averaging 19.3 points, 8.8 rebounds and 2.9 assists per game, while connecting on a career-high 93.0 percent of her free throw attempts.
