ATLANTA (Aug. 3, 2026) —Jackie Young turned in her third career triple-double to lead the Las Vegas Aces (21-9) to a 109-87 victory over the Atlanta Dream (18-11) on Monday night in Hot-Lanta. Young posted game-highs of 28 points and 10 assists, while grabbing 11 boards to lead Las Vegas, which was further bolstered in the victory by 23 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists and 3 blocks from A’ja Wilson; NaLyssa Smith put up 18 points and Chelsea Gray added 17 points and 6 assists.

Angel Reese, 23 points and 16 rebounds, and Rhyne Howard, 19 points, were Atlanta’s only double-digit scorers.

1st Quarter Highlights (Atlanta 24, Las Vegas 22)
After four lead changes and four tied scores, the Aces held their largest lead of the quarter, 22-17. However, over the final minute and a half, Atlanta shot 4 of 5 from the line and hit a 3-pointer to move in front 24-22 at the end of the frame. The Aces hit 64.3% (9-14 FGs) from the field and 2 of 3 from deep, while the Dream were held to 42.1% (8-19 FGs) overall and 2 of 10 behind the arc. The Aces coughed up 12 points off of 6 turnovers while converting Atlanta’s 3 miscues into 5 points. From the line, the Aces shot 2 of 2 and the Dream made 6 of 7. A total of 7 players on each end put points on the board, with nobody scoring more than 5 apiece.

2nd Quarter Highlights (Las Vegas 55, Atlanta 38)
Atlanta crept out to an early 29-24 advantage over the first two minutes. However, a 3 from Young and an and-1 from Wilson sparked a 15-2 run that opened things up 39-31 with about 4 and a half to play in the half. Atlanta had a mini 5-2 spurt before Las Vegas turned in 10 unanswered points for a 51-36 advantage, then upped its lead to 17 at the half. Las Vegas connected on 65% (13-20) from the floor and 3 of 5 from deep, while limiting Atlanta to 31.6% (6-9 FGs) and a mere 1 of 9 from 3-point. In contrast to the first quarter, the Aces had zero turnovers and scored 7 off of Atlanta’s 3 TOs. Young poured in 14 points and Wilson scored 8, while no Dream player had more than 5.

3rd Quarter Highlights (Las Vegas 86, Atlanta 62)
The Aces lead never dropped below 16 points and got up to as many as 28, 84-56, with 2 minutes left. The Aces continued shooting well, making 68.4% overall and the Dream bumped up their shooting to 52.9%. Wilson paced all scorers with 11, Smith had 8 and a pair of Atlantans, Allisha Gray and Howard, had 7 apiece.

4th Quarter Highlights (Las Vegas 109, Atlanta 87)
The Dream closed to 16 points late in the game but never seriously threatened. Both teams shot an even 50% from the field and also emptied their benches. Chelsea Gray and Reese topped all scorers with 7 apiece.

GAME NOTES

Guard Mai Yamamoto, who signed with the Aces on July 17, recorded her first career points with a 3-pointer in the final seconds of the 4th quarter.

Wilson entered the game needing 11 points to pass No. 12 Katie Smith (6,452) on the WNBA all-time scoring list. She now has 6,465 points and trails No. 11 Candace Parker (6,574) by 9 points. No. 10 is Breanna Stewart (6,626).

Wilson entered the game tied at No. 6 with Lauren Jackson with 586 blocked shots. After swatting 3, she now has 589. Parker (619) is No. 5.

With 6 defensive rebounds, Wilson passed Tina Thompson (2,185) for No. 11 on the W’s all-time list and now has 2,187 for her career. Next up is Rebekkah Brunson (2,190) at No. 10.

Gray has dished out at least 4 assists in a league-high 18 straight games.
