LAS VEGAS (May 12, 2019)—The Las Vegas Aces announced today that the team has waived center Ruth Hamblin and guard Dominique Wilson. Both players signed training camp contracts with the Aces in the offseason.
Hamblin is a 2016 graduate of Oregon State, and was drafted by the Dallas Wings with the 18th overall pick in the 2016 WNBA Draft. The 24-year-old played in 20 games as a rookie, averaging 1.1 points and 1.5 rebounds per game. As a collegian, Hamblin was twice named Pac-12 Defensive Player of the Year, and earned All-America honors on two occasions.
The 25-year-old Wilson is a two-time All-ACC selection, who posted career averages of 14.3 points, 3.6 rebounds and 2.2 assists in three years with the Wolfpack. She also averaged nearly two steals per game and connected on 84.8 percent of her free throw attempts.
