Las Vegas, NV (February 6, 2023)—Las Vegas Aces General Manager Natalie Williams announced today that the team has waived second-year forward Iliana Rupert.
Las Vegas originally selected Rupert with the 12th pick in the first round of the 2021 WNBA Draft. She did not play in the league that season, but in 2022, she saw action in 17 regular season games, averaging 3.8 points and 2.3 rebounds while making 36.8 percent of her shots from three-point range.
The 21-year-old Rupert played in seven of the team’s 10 postseason games, averaging 2.1 points while making 35.7 percent of her shots from beyond the arc, as the Aces won their first WNBA Championship.
She is currently playing overseas for Bologna in Italy, where she is averaging 14.5 points per game in league play and 11.4 points in EuroLeague competition.
