Las Vegas, NV (May 9, 2023)—Las Vegas Aces General Manager Natalie Williams announced today that the team has waived second-year guard Aisha Sheppard, rookie forward Courtney Range, and rookie guard Brittany Davis.
Sheppard played in 23 games for the Aces as a rookie in 2022, averaging 1.5 points per game for the eventual WNBA Champions. Las Vegas selected her in the second round, No. 23 overall, in the 2022 WNBA Draft after her five-year All-American career at Virginia Tech.
Range signed with the Aces as a free agent on February 1, 2023. After going undrafted in 2017 following her four-year career at Cal, Range played overseas in Spain, Belgium, Germany and Switzerland.
Las Vegas selected Davis in the third round, No. 36 overall, in the 2023 WNBA Draft. A two-time All-SEC selection, Davis averaged 17.8 points per game as a graduate student this year for Alabama, to go along with 7.0 rebounds and 2.1 assists.
