Aces Waive Center Kalani Brown

Las Vegas, NV (April 18, 2022)—Las Vegas Aces General Manager Natalie Williams announced today that the team has waived center Kalani Brown.

Brown was originally drafted by the Los Angeles Sparks in the first round (No. 7 overall) of the 2019 WNBA Draft. As a rookie, she played in 28 of 34 games, averaging 5.1 points and 3.5 rebounds while connecting on 47.8 percent of her shots from the field

In February of 2020, the Sparks traded Brown to the Atlanta Dream in exchange for Brittney Sykes and Marie Gulich. A knee injury limited her to just 10 games during the 2020 wubble season, and the Dream waived Brown early in the 2021 WNBA Season.

The Baylor alum played overseas for Hatay in Turkey this offseason, averaging 20.6 points and 6.0 rebounds during EuroCup play, and 20.9 points and 8.1 rebounds in Turkish League competition.

More recently, Brown suited up for Athletes Unlimited in Las Vegas. The Aces signed her as a free agent on February 15 of this year.
