Aces Waive Alex Harden And Saniya Chong

LAS VEGAS (May 19, 2019)—The Las Vegas Aces announced today that the team has waived Saniya Chong and Alex Harden.

Chong and Harden were signed during the offseason to training camp contracts. Chong handed out one assist in five minutes in today’s preseason game against Minnesota while Harden played two minutes and missed her only shot.

Chong played for the Dallas Wings in 2017 and 2018. The 26th pick in the 2017 WNBA Draft, Chong averaged 2.7 points and 1.0 assists in 33 games as a rookie. Last season she suited up for five games for the Wings in a reserve capacity.

Harden played with the Phoenix Mercury in 2015 and 2016. As a rookie, she averaged 2.1 points, 1.4 rebounds and 0.9 assists in 32 games. She saw action in 28 games the following season, averaging 1.4 points, 0.8 rebounds and 0.5 assists.
