Aces Select Alabama Guard Brittany Davis In Third Round Of WNBA Draft

Las Vegas, NV (April 10, 2023)—The Las Vegas Aces selected Alabama guard Brittany Davis with the 36th pick of the 2023 WNBA Draft this evening as the team begins its quest to become the first back-to-back WNBA World Champions in more than two decades.

A two-time All-SEC selection, Davis averaged 17.8 points per game as a graduate student this year for the Crimson Tide, to go along with 7.0 rebounds and 2.1 assists, while shooting at a 35.5 percent clip from beyond the arc. The 5-11 Manchester, Georgia native ranked 4th in the conference in scoring, 9th in rebounding and 12th in steals.

“We’re very excited that Brittany Davis was available,” explained Aces General Manager Natalie Williams. “She’s a great three-point shooter, she’s very physical, and just a straight gamer, so we know she is going to come into camp and compete to the best of her ability.”

“Brittany’s story is one of perseverance, grit and hard work,” allowed Alabama Head Coach Kristy Curry. “She has worked so hard to put herself in a position to be drafted, and I can’t think of anyone more deserving. I am so incredibly proud for her and her family.”
