GAME RECAP: Six Players Score In Double Figures In Aces’ Record-Setting, 118-95, Win Over Atlanta

LAS VEGAS (July 4, 2021)—Kelsey Plum’s 23 points led all scorers as six Aces reached double-figures in a record-setting, 118-95, victory over the visiting Atlanta Dream.

Las Vegas led 17-15 with 4:21 to go, but the Dream scored 11 of the next 12 points to go up by 8, 26-18. The Aces the scored 8 straight to tie the score. Both teams were hot from the field with the Dream making 57.1 percent of their shots and the Aces connecting on 55 percent of theirs. Liz Cambage led all players with 9 points and 5 rebounds.

Second Quarter (Las Vegas 51, Atlanta 48)

The Aces led by 10, 87-77 with 9:11 to go in the game, when they went on a 10-2 run. Las Vegas’ lead was 14 points with 4:27 on the clock, and they outscored Atlanta 15-4 to out the game well out of reach. Kelsey Plum (14 points) and Dearica Hamby (13 points) outscored the Dream by themselves, 27-20, making 10 of 11 shots from the field, Plum went 4 for 4 from three-point range in the quarter.
