2018 Year In Review: Jaime Nared

HOW SHE JOINED THE ACES

Las Vegas selected Nared with the 13thoverall pick (first in the second round) of the 2018 WNBA Draft.

SEASON OVERVIEW

Nared was one of three rookies to make the Aces roster (A’ja Wilson, JiSu Park), and saw action in 31 of Las Vegas’ 33 games, all off the bench. She Logged 10 or more minutes on 13 occasions, including in seven of the team’s first 10 games.

Her best stretch of shooting came in the season’s early going when she connected on 9 of 19 shots from the field from May 22 through June 8.

Some of Nared’s best rebounding efforts came in the final month of the season, as she grabbed a career-high seven boards on August 11, and four apiece at Connecticut on August 5, and vs. Atlanta on August 19.

Nared finished third among rookies with a .857 free throw percentage.

BEST GAMES

Nared’s best game of the season came on June 8 at home against Atlanta when she scored a season-high 10 points in 16 minutes of action. She made all four of her free throw attempts against the Dream, and went two for three from long distance.

WHERE IS SHE NOW?

Nared has Elitzur Ramla of the Israeli League in first place with an 11-3 record. She is averaging 18.4 points, 8.5 rebounds, 3.4 assists, and 2.4 steals per game, while making 37.7 percent of her three-pointers, and 86.4 percent of her shots from the charity stripe. She has scored 20 or more points in four of her last five games, including a career-high 31 vs. Petah Tikva on January 7.
