ACES SCOUTING REPORT
“Collier has a knack for making the players around her better by doing all the little things well. She is an undersized post player with some guard skills and three-point range which makes her able to play multiple positions. Collier is a threat on the block, can score or distribute in transition and is solid rebounder.”
WHAT OTHERS ARE SAYING
“[Collier] comes with UConn pedigree, a very high basketball IQ, ability to score at each level, and don’t lose sight of her defensive prowess, either. Geno Auriemma could switch her onto bigs, onto wings, onto guards, and she handled it all seamlessly. It’s going to be an easy translation to the WNBA for Napheesa Collier.”
~ Howard Megdal, HighPostHoops
“Collier might be the best all-around player in the country. She is smart, skilled and she is a winner, having led Connecticut to a Final Four in all four seasons.”
~ Michelle Smith, WNBA.com
““Napheesa Collier is in the conversation for me to be the best player in the draft. She’s somebody that’s very complete, and I think what she does well translates at the next level. She’s somebody that can score very easily. She’s somebody that moves very well without the basketball, which is a very important trait when I look at players trying to make the transition. A lot of players with a lot of production are used to being the center of an offense. One of the adjustments you have to make is you go to a league with 12 teams and with players that are unique, and you have to find a way to make an impact without the basketball in your hands. That will not be a challenge for Napheesa.”
