2021 WNBA Draft (April 15, 2021)

Following their 2020 WNBA Finals appearance, the Aces had the final pick in each of the three rounds of the 2021 WNBA Draft.

With the team’s first round pick, Las Vegas selected 19-year-old French center Iliana Rupert. The Aces had to wait a year for her to join the team, and as a rookie in 2022, she averaged 3.8 points and 2.3 rebounds while making 46.3 percent of her field goal attempts and 36.8 percent of her 3-pointers as Las Vegas won its first WNBA Championship. The Aces waived Rupert on February 6, 2023, and she was signed in training camp of that same year by the Atlanta Dream

In the second round, Las Vegas chose Arkansas guard Destiny Slocum. In her four-year collegiate career, she averaged 14.2 points, 3.1 rebounds and 48 assists. As a rookie, the Boise, Idaho, native averaged 1.0 points while making 33.3 percent of her 3-pointers over 21 games. The Aces waived Slocum on April 8 of the following year and in June of 2022, she signed with the Atlanta Dream.

Las Vegas selected Towson’s Kionna Jeter in the third round after she averaged 23.0 points, 5.1 rebounds, and 2.3 assists for the Tigers. The Aces waived her on April 26, 2021.
