2020 WNBA Draft (April 17, 2020)
In 2019, Las Vegas made the playoffs for the first time since 2014 behind a 21-13 regular season record. The Aces traded their first and second round selections to the Dallas Wings as part of the the trade that brought Liz Cambage to Las Vegas just before the start of the 2019 season, leaving them with just the 33rd overall pick in the 2020 WNBA Draft.
With that third round pick the Aces selected Holy Cross’ Lauren Manis. The Franklin, Massachusetts, native averaged a point-rebound double-double as a junior and senior with the Crusaders, becoming the first Holy Cross player drafted in WNBA history. Manis didn’t have the opportunity to make the team due to the truncated WNBA training camp of the 2020 COVID-19 season. She was brought into camp in 2021, but was waived prior to the start of the regular season.
