Las Vegas Opens Inaugural WNBA Season At Connecticut, Sunday, May 20

UNCASVILLE, CT (May 19, 2018)—Las Vegas opens its inaugural WNBA season this Sunday, May 20 with a 10 am PT tip against the Connecticut Sun at Mohegan Sun Arena. The game is being broadcast nationally on Twitter.

The Aces rounded out their regular season roster Saturday with the addition of second year guard Lindsay Allen. That gives Las Vegas 12 players on the active roster, and three players—Isabelle Harrison, Kayla McBride and Kelsey Plum—on the Temporarily Suspended List.

Number one overall draft pick and consensus national player of the year A’ja Wilson paced the Aces in the preseason, averaging 14.5 points and 9.5 rebounds, as Las Vegas split its two games against the Chinese National Team and the Dallas Wings.

The Aces are 13-24 all-time against Connecticut, including 5-13 on the road. They have lost nine straight against the Sun.

Las Vegas last won a season-opener in the 2012 season when they opened up the year with an 88-79 road victory against the Tulsa Shock. Overall, the Aces are 8-13 in season openers—5-7 on the road, and 3-6 at home.
