GAME PREVIEW: Aces Host New York Liberty, Friday, On ESPN2

LAS VEGAS, NV (June 22, 2018)—The Las Vegas Aces take on the New York Liberty Friday evening in the first of four straight home games at the Mandalay Bay Events Center. Tip is slated for 7 pm PT on ESPN2.

In addition to watching the best that women’s basketball has to offer, fans in attendance will be treated to a halftime performance and national anthem by cast members of KA by Cirque du Soleil.

The Aces have won there of their last five games, with each of those victories coming on the road. The team opened its scheduled with 8 of its first 11 games away from the friendly confined of the Mandalay Bay Events Center, but will get some home cooking over the next eight days. After hosting the Liberty this evening, Las Vegas welcomes Minnesota on Sunday, Dallas on Wednesday, and Los Angeles next Friday.

A’ja Wilson continues to dominate rookie of the year headlines, and is beginning to enter the MVP conversation. The first year pro out of South Carolina is fourth in the league in scoring (20.8) and fifth in rebounding (8.2).

Moriah Jefferson practiced for the first time this week after sitting out the beginning of the season, but will not dress tonight. She is listed as doubtful for Sunday’s game against the Lynx.
