Aces Honor Women Inspiring Women

LAS VEGAS, NV (August 15, 2018)—As part of the WNBA’s Inspiring Women platform, on August 15, the Las Vegas Aces celebrated strong and successful women throughout the State of Nevada who are inspiring, and encouraging role models to others around them through both personal and professional leadership.

Each season, the Las Vegas Aces will honor inspiring women in the community who demonstrate these qualities and tirelessly advocate on behalf of women and girl’s empowerment.

This year, as part of the team’s August 15 home game against the New York Liberty, the Aces recognized representatives from Women’s Chamber of Commerce Young Professionals, Women’s Business Enterprise Council, NAWBO (National Association of Women Business Owners), and Dress for Success during a special pre-game ceremony for all they do to empower, improve, and inspire the Las Vegas community.

The team also hosted its first Aces Leadership Panel in honor of Women Inspiring Women, pregame at Libertine Social. Aces Player Development and Franchise Manager Rushia Brown served as the moderator for the panel, which featured Brette Sadler, vice president of global partnership activation at Ultimate Fighting Championship; Stacey Miller Eisenberg, vice president of sales at iHeartMedia; Cindy Kiser-Murphy, CEO and president of New York New York; Christine Monjer, executive director of entertainment marketing for MGM Resorts International; and Heather Monahan, author of Confidence Creator.
